Though keeping with the traditional Point & Click gameplay style of adventure games, The Awakened has now been totally rethought, offering players a whole new third-person view, while keeping the classic game mechanics of the original first-person view also available. Players have the total freedom to choose at any moment either of the angles they wish or use them both to lead their investigation.
The game, based on an excellent scenario, plunges the player into the heart of a terrifying investigation in which the myth of Cthulhu, imagined by HP Lovecraft, crosses for the first time the greatest detective’s way.
Sherlock Holmes, assisted by the loyal Doctor Watson, investigates strange disappearances which seem related to the activity of a secret sect. The adventure begins in London, in the renowned Baker Street, taking us then to investigate a disturbing psychiatric hospital near Bale, Switzerland, then on to Louisiana and finally to Scotland.
